This is my third FightBox controller. Previously purchased the B1 and B10. There were a few reasons for me to try this one, and I love it.
This stick is slightly larger than the others. Thicker by about 1 sheet of glass and slightly taller for more palm space. The back was changed from clear plexiglass to a solid piece that is better for coarse surfaces.
The new keycaps are MUCH better for people who mash. I'm not able to get them to pop off when plinking like with the B1 and B10. Highly suggest getting your hands on the keycaps. For this stick or any other flat FightBox stick.
For PS5, you need to enable wired-only mode for it to work as expected. I got the Brook Gen-5 version with the +5 button mod. Came with a Brook P5 Mini.
Notes about the button mod:
- Using Turbo on the extra buttons has the same effect as using it on regular buttons (can't have a regular jab and an extra Turbo jab which is fair)
- Works with directions
- Can assign everything but Turbo to the buttons
- Button layout is similar to the B10 and B10 EX combined
The button mods are re-using existing buttons. You must open the stick to remap these buttons for now.
This is a huge upgrade from their old models, it feels really premium. The buttons are fast and responsible and easy to swap. I highly recommend it.
